IELTS IN IRAN- Feb 8th 2008
The London Centre of Education is proud to announce that it has agreed in principle with Sussex Downs College, one of the UK`s largest IELTS testing centres to setup the first IELTS testing centre in Iran, independent of IDP (Australia) and British Council (UK) in conjunction with the International University of Chabahar (Iran).
The project is headed by Dr. Amir Saadati who said: “This is an opportunity for Iran to continue its path of self dependency, in line with the virtues and values of society within the educational sector.I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude towards Dr. Hamid Reza Mirzaei, Honorable Chancellor of the International University of Chabahar for all his endeavors and personal input in making this project work for Iran.”
Pam Lynch, International IELTS Test Centre Manager at Sussex Said: "This is an exciting International partnership with opportunities for further educational exchange which will lead to better cultural understanding between Iran and the UK."

Joint research projects announced as the two countries seek to forge more links
Robotics, creating biodiesel from oilseeds, widening access to higher education and "Nanoballs" are among the joint research projects that British and Indian academics will be working on as the two countries seek to forge more links.
The 81 funding awards were announced last Friday as part of the UK India Education and Research Initiative (Ukieri), which is now in its second year.
